“i want to write a letter to myself every year on my birthday. not to anyone else — just to check in. to remember what i was afraid of, what i was hoping for. i think i'd find it useful. maybe even moving.”
— maya, 29“our angel was born in april. she’s eleven weeks old and i can’t stop thinking about the things i want to say to her — when she’s old enough to hear them. i want to write them now, while i still feel this way. before life gets in the way.”
— fabrice, new dad“i got my diagnosis in march. there are birthdays i might not be there for. i've been searching for a way to still show up for those days. i think this might be it.”

free plan messages can be scheduled up to 3 years ahead. paid plans (single, bundle s, bundle m) hold messages for up to 10 years from purchase date — extendable. the legacy plan holds messages for as long as everly exists, with no expiry.
paid plans (single, bundle s, bundle m, legacy) can edit messages within 10 days of writing. free plan messages cannot be edited once scheduled. this is by design — it encourages you to write with care from the start.
yes — and many people do. a letter to yourself, scheduled for your next birthday or five years from now, is one of the most meaningful things you can write. everly treats self-addressed messages exactly the same as messages to others.
on the chosen date, your recipient receives an email with a short preview and a link. clicking the link opens a beautifully presented page — your full message, in the theme you chose, with a note that it was written on a specific date and held safely until today. no account needed to read it.
yes. your message is encrypted at rest. nobody at everly reads your words — we hold them and deliver them, exactly as you wrote them. your recipient receives the message only on the date you chose, via a unique secure link.
paid plans can cancel a message up to 3 days before its delivery date (legacy plan: up to 2 hours before). free plan messages cannot be cancelled once scheduled. no refunds are issued for cancelled messages.
everly is built around one guarantee: your messages will be delivered. if we ever stopped accepting new users, every scheduled message already in the system would still send on its chosen date. we would never simply disappear and take your words with us. once you've written and scheduled a message, that memory belongs to the future — and we intend to protect it.
sms delivery is launching shortly and will support international numbers. standard messaging rates apply by destination — costs vary by country. email delivery is available worldwide at no extra cost and is the most reliable channel for long-horizon messages regardless of where your recipient is.
